AUTO REFRESH IN FIREFOX & CHROME & OPERA

In Firefox:



  •         Download and Install "Auto Refresh" Add-on.

  •         Restart the browser.

  •         Right Click on any page then select , Auto Refresh->Enable for that page.

  •         Enable on all tabs for all pages.

  •         Then select the time interval to refresh.



In chrome:



  •         Download and Install "Auto Refresh Plus" Extension.

  •         Auto Refresh extension will be in extension section.

  •         Open that and select the time interval and press start.


In opera:



  •         Auto reload option is available in Opera by default.

  •         Right click anywhere on the page and select the Reload Every option.

  •         Then select the time interval.

  •         By default it has some time interval.If u want set manual then  use "custom" option.


SHUTDOWN COMPUTER AFTER A SPECIFIC TASK HAS BEEN COMPLETED !!!


  • Download KSHUTDOWN.

  • Install it and open.

  • In "select an action" tab select what ur pc should do after a task completed.

  • Then in "select a time/event" tab select "when selected application exit".

  • Then below that,select the process for source to shutdown.

  • Then Click OK.

  • for eg: If i selected the Teracopy process,when the teracopy gets colsed then the system will do what action you've selected.

  • Download AMP WinOFF.

  • Install it and open.

  • Actually it doesn't have the feature for shutdown after a task finished.

  • But it has 5 features.



  1. Date/Time: Here U can select a date and time that when ur system should gets off.

  2. Interval:  Here U can give time to when ur system should gets off.

  3. User activity: Do action when there is no user activity.

  4. CPU load: U can  select a CPU load.When the system gets the cpu load it'll do the action.

  5. Network transfer: It depends on network transfer. If u selected 5 kbs means when the n/w  transfer rate gets 5kbs it'll do the selected action.



  • At bottom u can select the shutdown type.

  • At last u have to press "ACTIVATE" button at top.

DRAG AND DROP FILES IN WINDOWS !!!

When you drag a file from a place to another place (folder),
by default the file will be MOVED.

  • If you want to COPY the file instead of MOVE,
    Press CTRL button and then leave the file.



  • Now the file will be copied.



  • If you want to CREATE A SHORTCUT LINK then,
    Press ALT button and then leave the file.



  • Now the file shortcut will be created.

NO TO ALL IN XP WHILE COPYING OR MOVING FILES !!!


  • If the files are already placed in the destination directoy means, windows will prompt you to do a action from below.

    • No

    • Yes

    • Yes To All

    • Cancel





  • You have to press " NO " for all files.



  • There is no " No To All". For that,



  • Press" SHIFT + NO ".



  • Now the existing files(all old files) will be skipped from copying.

SET SHORTCUT KEY FOR ANY PROGRAM !!!


  • The program should be in shortcut.

  • For that, copy the program and right click select " paste shortcut "
    that where u want to paste.

  • Now select the program -> right click -> properties.

  • Go to shortcut tab.

  • There will be a option called " shortcut key ".

  • Type any letter u want.

  • Ctrl + Alt will be added automatically by default.

  • Press ok. Done.

  • eg:    Type " m ".

  • Now the shortcut is " ctrl + alt + m ".


 

INCREASE THE WINDOWS INSTALLATION SPEED OR DECREASE THE WINDOWS INSTALLATION TIME !!!

After the windows files copied then the system will be restarted.

Then at the time of windows installing process ( with radio buttons ),

  •     Press SHIFT + F10

  •     Command Prompt will be opened.

  •     Type there as " taskmgr " or " launchtm ".

  •     Now the task manager will be opened.

  •     Go to the PROCESSES tab.

  •     Select the process " SETUP "

  •     Right click the setup process then Go to SET PRIORITY.

  •     Change it from NORMAL to HIGH.

  •     Close the task manager.

  •     Your windows will be installed within 20 minutes.


WINDOWS 8 May be vary :

  •     Go to the DETAILS Tab.

  •     Select the process " SETUP "

  •     Right click the setup process then Go to SET PRIORITY.

  •     Change it from NORMAL to HIGH.

  •     Close the task manager.


 

USE OF BRIEFCASE IN WINDOWS XP !!!

  •  Right click in an empty place and go to new->briefcase.
  •  Now the briefcase will be created.
  •  Create a new text file in briefcase.
  •  And put some data in that text file.
  •  Now copy the text file and paste it anywhere in the system. ( Copy the file in different drives more than one time).
  •  Now open the briefcase and open the source text file and type some new data in that and save it.
  •  Now right click the text file , press Update (or) in left pane,
  •  Press update or update all.
  •  Now open the text file you copied just now in different drives.
  •  Check that the data will be updated with what you did in briefcase.

 

DISABLE OR ENABLE THE USB PORT !!!

USING REGISTRY EDITOR:

      TO DISABLE:

  • Open Run(ctrl + r)
  • Type regedit press enter.
  •  Navigate to, HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Services\USBSTOR
  •  In right pane, open " START " key.
  •  Change the value from " 3 " to " 4 " .
  •  Press Ok.
  •  May be restart requires to take effect.

      TO ENABLE:

  • Change the value from " 4 " to " 3 " .
  • Press Ok.
  • May be restart requires to take effect.


USING SOFTWARE:

  • Download the software DISABLE USB.
  • Select Enable radio button to enable.
  • Select Disable radio button to disable.
